Ps3 Has No Red Standby Light But Powers On Briefly

I have similar problem.. The PS3 (80GB) had laser problem, and I replaced it. When I put it back all together, It refuse to start up! Neither red light, neither response when I press any button. Is it a PSU problem? still looking to find out. If I use a PSU from 160GB phat version, will work?
