So I came across a broken PS3 and bought it pretty cheap.  Its a 60gb fat model.  When I turn on the ps3 the power led goes green, then the system beeps 1 time, then the system shuts off.  The system shuts off in about 1-2 seconds after I touch the power button.  It doesn't sound like the fan runs, but I'm not positive about that. (I'm a PS3 noob.)
I tried powering the ps3 on without the HDD installed, but it still shut off right away.
The power LED never turns yellow.

I was told it could possibly be the PSU, but I would like to know for sure if that's the problem before I order a new PSU.  

Any suggestions on what the problem could be?
