Error Code 16, Then Error Code 21 After 5960 Dash Install

21 means it found the dash and attempted to start it, but it crashed.

If you're certain you installed the MS dash correctly (and it's pretty hard to mess up, so I expect you did), try having XBoxHDM reformat the whole drive from scratch. Corrupted save game folders can cause the MS dash to crash like that even if it's installed correctly.

Sorry for double posting, for some reason I can't edit my previous post anymore. Anyway.. here's a screen shot of C. Does this look right?

Check against this, courtesy of Bomb Bloke. Partition 3 is C , 4 is E.

"settings_adoc.xip" is not required. I'm fairly sure case doesn't matter.

Try removing the UDATA/TDATA folders from E, literally wipe that partition clean and leave it blank.

The console must be running an FTP service to connect to it that way. Even if you do get it to boot the MS dash, that won't be happening - you'll also need to install a mod of some sort.

Sorry I had to make a new post so someone will read this.. I couldn't get XboxHDM working because the mobo on this comp only has one IDE header and it wasn't working to well. So I had to use Xplorer360.. which I hate, I was about half way done rebuilding the drive.. it locked like it does once and a while. So I rebooted the Xbox with the IDE cable of the DVD drive unplugged to get error code 12 for unlocking purposes. But... for some reason I get error code 7 now all the time.. the Xbox boots and about 2 minutes later error code 7 pops up, all the IDE cables are secure and I even plugged the slave back into the DVD drive, same error. Is there a way I can fix this? Because error code 7 does not unlock the hard drive. sad.gif

May be a silly question, but there is a little tab on the ide cables inside the xbox, if it's plugged in upside down it can cause this error. So try flipping the ide cable, then plugging it in.

Heh, got pretty much the same problem as you, I'm waiting on a Eeprom Reader so I can fit in a new HDD.

I've decided to punish this Xbox for putting me through a month of pain and misery, and the loss of my main motherboard. I had to show you guys this.

Can't really see it because my camera sucks, but I removed the heatsinks and totally destroyed the GPU and CPU. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
