My Ps3; Blue/black Theme.
« on: February 02, 2008, 01:24:00 AM »

i really like the look of my ps3 this is mostly why i waited over a year to even open it, so i really didn't want to paint it, its great that the case is see thru altho its kinda dark i think it still looks pimp.

some cool things i discovered when doing these mods where the odd doesn't require a spindle holder (the magnet is so strong it hold it on even when its more then an inch away), the fan is 34.8Watts (12v 2.9A) and isn't easy to find a resistor for (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) and the psu outputs 30A (IMG:http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/confused/confused0053.gif).

anyways here's some pix:

Looks great.

Do you know how to remove light scratches from the PS3's stock case?

nope, you have to at least take the bluray drive out and the mobo out of the case and remove the heatsinks to get at any voltage sources, unless you wanted to blindly cut in to the 3.3 and 5v wires from the psu (i wouldn't recommend it).

you have to have the case on the bluray drive, i just took it off and cut out the raised part, no need to worry about the spindle, it stays in the drive just fine.

i cant remember where i drew power for the CD activated leds, sorry.
