Man those right angles were a pain. I'm buying proper ones if I ever have to do this again.

Next I'm doing my ps3 controllers. I had an idea. Even though the led5 spot behind the ps button doesn't work, it's still a good place to solder it into. You can just add the wires later, would be much easier to work with. I hope someone already thought of this though.

Hey guys I just got done throwing in a 3.7 V 5mm Blue LED into my controller (pic below) and all I did was follow the steps by PDAIsAok so Thank you PDAIsAok for the great instructions works great (the only real trouble I had was putting it back together but I was able to get it all back together and looks smooth) Oh and by the way this is only the second time I've actually soldered and the first time I've done it by myself so I believe that if you can read instructions on how to solder and make sure you take all the precautionary steps you should be fine! here's the pics of the controller

Shit I took my controller apart and the board is completly different from you guys.... is this a different version of controller or something? There was many things missing from the pics I've seen in this thread, and there wasnt a led 5 spot.

I have seen a couple of tuts for this on different sites, they use a 47ohm resistor aswell?

Is it needed?
