Upgrading Hd Using X3

Yo,

I think you need a boot CD that prepares your HDD and intalls EvoX and more on it.
It's what I've done the first time I hacked my XBOX, with a CD-RW (cause mine doesn't read simple CD-R).

Download Slayers 2.7 from the usual places and setup the hard drive. Remember if you going over 250gb to run Xbpartitioner and format in 32k clusters.  After that run the slayer disc again but just install the apps and then transfer everything from the old hard drive.

Have a look at this post for details of how to make the X3 load the dash directly, and how to get back to X3 Config Live. If your drive contents are identical to your original then the dash locations should be fine, but if not then as pattythefatty says, just edit them.

Make sure you format the F/G partitions with XBPartitioner 1.1 - older versions don't support large clusters.

Ah thanks Heimdall I spent 30 minutes searching for that dang link on Team X site, but couldn't find it, I have surfed through so many pages the last 3 weeks between here and there, and every site in between and i just couldn't remember where that was, and searching wasn't working.  I had read through that in my travels and that is where I came up with my response, but i didn't bookmark that site, and I was afraid I had lost it.  Thanks for finding that and posting it here.
