Put a new hard drive in there - has to be 10Gb or bigger. Boot with Slayers, follow the instructions for a new installation (select Retail HDD to put the apps on E). If your F or G partitions are greater than 256Gb then reformat F/G with XBPartitioner 1.1 before you use them.

Burn Slayers to DVD-R, and burn at 4x or slower.

No idea. I have a wifdescreen tht cuts pieces off. Why does it matter when the hard drive is wthout a doubt the problem.
I have autoslayer booting and can copy to the new disk but the new disk will not boot do I need a bios or tsop flash?

Hey bro, i know this may  not be possible for you, but have you tried to put the 400gb in another chipped
or TSOP'd xbox to see if it loads?
And you do need to find out the error code and figure out what it mean becuase usually
that tells you the error.

definately sounds like the hdd died,,, like you said you've been having problems for awhile.
when hard drives die they tend to make a clicking sound. there is no way to save it and even if you can get a little info off of it you will not want it as it will most likely be corrupted.
i've never dealt with slayers before so i'm no help there but have you tried AID? it is the program i use, i just put it into the system after installing a new hdd and it formats it and everything i need.
if you are trying to get the 10 gig to work then you might have to put it into your pc and reformat it and try the install again. i had a problem with a new install once where everything seemed to install correctly but when i rebooted the system it just froze at the boot screen. couldn't load the dash. i had to reformat it using my pc and do it all over again before i got it to work. it was a problem with the dash i installed.

If you can't boot from the DVD then use xboxhdm to build the new disc.
