I try the first post hex and it works on the ps3 fat with 12 Mhz resonator.
What about ps3 slim?

I have read some posts about psgroopic: it seems not to work with ps3fat and slim using the same quartz.
I mean with 12 Mhz it works on fat but not on slim, and with 20 Mhz it works on slim and not on fat.

Some feedbacks?

I have not tried the hex in the first post since it's the old one. This is v1.2 which is the latest and it works for me...

we didn't the compilers did, more questions as to how the source was compiled should be direct  iLLness and MetalPhreak from psx-scene.

I get the same error no matter if i hit yes,no, or cancel.I have a ps3 fat and am using 20mhz resonator.Someone has said 20mhz not working with ps3 fat? I havent got it to work either.

Also i am running winxp sp3.

Got it working.I just kept hitting program device and eventually it completed with no error.

I can confirm 20mhz works with ps3 fat.

But if I use the hex of the v2.1b1 package it doesn't work.

Isn't 12.hex files the same?  the dimensions are equal.

Maybe the file in the v2.1 package cannot be flash by USB? should I use the pic programmer?

Are you talking about the PSGrooPIC-V1.2b1-PIC18F2455.zip file link earlier in the thread?? If so those were compiled by metalphreak and he uploaded the incorrect files, they were a bad compiled. He re-released them compiled correctly, and iLLness compiled a version of 1.2 as well.

Sorry..my mistake, I write the wrong version... I mean v1.2b1.

I try 12.hex file of the package PSGrooPIC-V1.2b1-PIC18F2455.zip with the first post bootloader but it doesn't work.

Maybe the 12.hex of the package PSGrooPIC-V1.2b1-Bootloader-PIC18F2455.zip is different...I will try with this.

I'm using the Darkstar's usb spi diagram and it works with the first post bootloader and with the hex of this
package DIYGadget - USB SPI PS3 Jailbreak.rar

PSGrooPIC-V1.2b1-PIC18F2455.zip, the first version was compile wrong. The two above links are 1.2, the second one is by iLLness and I prefer his compiles better.

I will try Illness PIC18F2455-psgroopicV1.2.zip
