idk if I should buy this now or wait till it gets leaked for free to see if it actually works. i dont even own a ps3 but if this is legit i will own one by the end of the week. smile.gif

It's legit and it works. I personnaly know someone that got a free sample.
But anyone that pays $130+ for this is going to feel real scammed if the device can be reproduced for very little money.

OH yeah! I love this. On thier website top left corner it says "Beware of Imitators and Chinese Knockoffs"
In other words, we know our product will be cloned quickly and it only going to be worth 20-50 in a few months. (maybe less if we can make our own)

Hi guys!

I've got one question about PS3 mod. How can I say, well, I'm reading ps3news now they've already ran Uncharted 2 and everything is ok but why do they need still original copy of Uncharted 2?

It's from manual PS JailBreak:
I'm not talking about one original game inside the console, I'm talking about original game you want to play from Manager. What's point of it?

It' really mod for these who want to play back up or it's a joke for $170 to copy whole original game on hard drive and play it. I mean only one thing which Sony didn't want to give us... Everything is easy to understand for me but not this one thing in quote.

Any idea? Thx in advance wink.gif

What they are saying is that for a legal backup you must own the retail version of the game you are backing up.

As for loading the backup you can have ANY retail game disk in the drive and it will load any backup game, not just the one for which the disk is based off of.

Yeah, and do you believe that hackers are so polite and nice, they have made and given to whole world only possibility to install own original games because Sony never did it? And they want $170 for it? Do you believe in it? Unfortunatelly me not so what's the point?

dude, i think you already know the answer to your question.  there is no piracy discussion allowed on these boards.

This usb thingy sounds exactly like z-pack. There was a thread on here months ago about it but it got removed after a couple of days without any explanation, I presumed it was found to be fake.
Just google it and take a look. There is a video of it backing up topspin 3. it would be interesting to see how long it takes with ps jailbreak compared to z-pack.   wink.gif

Yeah but "Z-Pack" was obviously fake, the genius that made the video forgot that the PS3 doesn't have a windows XP browser!!! lol

I think jailbreak is either real, or the biggest scam ever. Because if its fake, there are countless people that are paying $200 for it. Only time will tell, we will have to wait until X-S members get theirs and test it to let us know.

Why are people still saying things like "if it is fake"

IT IS NOT FAKE!
Several major people were all sent free samples including a good friend of mine.

Based on what I have seen and the people it is coming from I feel quite confident this is the real deal.

Now the limitations of this hack vs say a modded xbox or jtaged xbox 360 is yet to be determined. My greatest hope is that this will lead to custom firmware and homebrew like the original xbox.

It would be great if it was as open as the original Xbox, but I doubt it will be, just because it wont be as easy for programmers.

I don't know why Sony, or anyone else would care anyway. First of all the PS3 was unhacked for how many years and was way behind in console sales, they are just now catching up to the 360... Them being behind in console sales effected 3rd party support and confidence, 3rd party company's were afraid to commit to the PS3. And I personally think IF the PS3 was easy to hack, like the WII, it would probably have more consoles sold, and if they just figured out a way to Ban people from PSN when using a hacked console, like MS does then people would still buy the games they want to play online.

So to conclude, they should just let this one go!! lol

After all this time? I'd personally love to see homebrew and something similar to a jtagged 360 on the PS3 but that's just me! smile.gif

Thanks for the effort.

So someone is selling these for $115 unsure.gif

It looks like the price of $164 I paid may be overpriced. grr.gif I did expect them to be reproduced by someone else for much less but not just another retailer selling from the same supplier a few days later. OZ should offer a price match otherwise I can see some flaming of their site in the future.

The suggested retail pricing for consumers is $115 for individuals. The $88 pricing for bulk(minimum 250 units) is for distributors! Thanks!  smile.gif

Not $115 but close HERE.

Pisses me off too because that is my usual chip supplier too. I guess I need to check around more before I jump on something like this.

O well as long as I get it in a timely manner I will be happy.
