Just found this on revolution
PS3.Exploit.Run.BluRay.Backups.via.Swap.PS3-H3R3T1C

below is the readme

1. Put the .TIF on a USB (download below)
2. Put a game in the PS3.
3. Insert the card with the .TIF exploit and go to "Photo icon" ... let it load.
3. Try to start the game and it should just lock up.
4. Take the USB out and the game should continue loading.

this tiff exloit was found and created by H3R3T1C of Team Ps3HAX.

anybody shed any light on whether this is true or not because if it is then this would be a good time to go buy a bluray writer

Ive just seen these as well on several sites and a few people have said it works; I dont have any backups so I cant confirm it either. But just think this kind of exploit could be used to launch a custom firmware like on the PSP if there was such a thing of course

Doesn't work... I didnt expect it to but I tried anyway. I tried on Sony BD-R AND BD-RE recordable Blu-Ray discs with 1.9fw.......
