It's impossible to edit it. It has some kind of security code... anyone here who knows how to bypass?

Here is 2 exactly identical save-files for BoF3 on PS1. But they are saved after each other... meaning there are no actual differnces in stats, only the PS3-code.

Maybe some of you can check it out and learn a pattern...?

Savefiles:
First (old) - http://www.freewebs.com/folding-norway/new...24F46333030.PSV

Second (new) - http://www.freewebs.com/folding-norway/new...24F46333030.PSV

I compared the two files with an hex editor, and found out that they there are a number of differences in the beginning (code) and in the middle of the save as well. 4 instances mid-file...

Well... I tried to edit an PC-emulator save, thought it could be easier to hack, but I found out that it's not!!!
I still get corrupted file message...

Seems like the original Playstation-save has a hack-safe system that needs to get cracked. Seems easier than the PS3 save, though.

Took the same comparing technique twice on the ePSXe emulator-saves and found fewer differences:

QUOTE

Compare 1 result:
-------------------------------
Offset    SaveA   SaveB   #A-B
------    -----   -----   ----
$00270     $3D     $37     6
$008EA     $09     $02     7
$008EB     $06     $0A     -4
$00EAE     $09     $02     7
$00EAF     $06     $0A     -4
-------------------------------
Compare found 5 differences

---------------------------------------------------------

Compare 2 result:
-------------------------------
Offset    SaveA   SaveB   #A-B
------    -----   -----   ----
$00270     $A8     $98     16
$008EA     $0C     $06     6
$008EB     $05     $03     2
$00EAE     $0C     $06     6

Any help?

Sophisticated checksums...
Finding the checksum algorithm is not easy...

If someone were to break this then it would help with some frustration with playing my psx games all over again.
Well i'm off to go re-play Resident Evil 3 and try to get the unlockables again.
