Paradox Updates about their PS3 Exploit: Fixed in v1.54 Posted by XanTium | 22-3-2007 22:19 EST

From the latest Paradox NFO: Some bad news and good news  You euro guys should all be pretty lucky and very lucky! Trust me! Since Euro ps3's ship with 1.50 firmware. The bad news is the big bug is fixed in firmware 1.54 :-( But remember legends don't die, they just need time to sort some stuff out What a talented guy called Dark_Alex did with a psp can be done with a ps3 too! The big question to all right now is, where do we need to look? Isn't it? We suggest why not have a look in multiple SPEs? Since they use shared memory for tasks! couldn't there be a bug in that part? and what about LS size limitation? Enough for now!

Now all we are waiting for is for Paradox to deliver the goods and release their much hinted at ISO loader!!

After all, the PS3 has now been launched in Europe and Australia.  Go Paradox!

They should release it now. The more they wait the more people will upgrade to 1.60. I doubt sony will ask all ps3 resellers to update the ps3's in the next coming days. EU ps3=1.50, all is safe.
What may explain a delay is that they have something ready to run on v1.00-v1.32 but they still need to work on a version working on v1.33-v1.54.

Paradox official site was up yesterday. Today it says "under construction"...
So, maybe the delay is just they want to present stuff themselves on their site.

btw according to what they said in the info ps3 users with FW 1.5 will be able to use their iso loader, aren't they?

the unfortunate thing with the Aus + Euro release was that you could not log into the PS network to sign up unless you updated to 1.6 and 99% of people wanted to sign up because if you do you get a free copy of Casino Royale.  Looks like i'll will be waiting till any exploit works with 1.6 at least.

and when it comes down to it they simply give huge hints in the nfo so that a grp is able to acknowledge and exploit them... given who paradox is and who the leader is, anymore heat from Sony would simply land them in a cell.

Its rather easy to do, and you can have full functionality of your ps3 include the playstation store downloads (i just downloaded gt4 hd concept)

paradox isos don't work if you burn them in a bd disk
on dev console, so how they will release a loader?

i think the idea was to have the loader loading the games from a hard drive instead of from removable media.

Paradox will not go to jail, they've been around for many years now. Releasing new warez every week, I think if Sony wanted to put them in jail they would have already done so. As for the loader, I highly doubt it'll be released... as for the exploit, I without a doubt believe that Paradox has found a hole. I just don't think they'll tell us how to use it.

Mmm... I've searched a bit internet about paradox exploit.
- xecuter team really wrote "it works" (no doubt about that)
- an UK reseller is claiming that ps3 hdxt will be in stock on April 2nd
- paradox is clearly waiting for something...

The only reason I see why xecuter team says so is that they tried it. The only reason I see why they could try it is they got a contact with paradox, probably because paradox wanted someone to work on bigger hard disks, for their own needs...

So the conclusion is... paradox is probably waiting for the hdxt to be in stock... maybe to not perturbate hdxt launch...

I don't think that the words of team xecuter are reliable enough to certify the fact that there is a working loader.... I remember about the hack for larger hard drive working on xbox360 certified too by team xecuter but... we're still waiting for it
