Anyone tried a swap magic disc with a ps2 backup in their ps3 yet? Worth a try.

I have no idea, but I assume that this is like everyone asking if the Xbox Splinter Cell exploit would work on the 360.  I am sure that Sony made sure that this would not be possible.

Still prolly worth a try. Noticed sony has a patch enabling ps2 games that require the HDD, wonder if it would allow HD loader to work? I'd try it if I had the discs.

Yeah it would be worth a try....

But as surprising as it sounds, sony arent dumb (yeh im still trying to get over the shock aswell....) and id highly doubt a simple thing like the swap magic would work on the ps3.....

I can't believe this HADN'T been tried, or I would have suggested it myself.

I take back my previous statement......

Tho it is a bit harder to use the swapmagic, because like many people have said, you need to swap the disks without the PS3 knowing, which requires the PS3 to be dissasemlbed to swap the disks.....

Freeking hell sony......

Yeah, I just heard the news. But hell no at this point. No way am I voiding the warranty as of yet, especially when I haven't tried an original ps2 game (forgot which thread, but someone's ps3 died supposably when using a ps2 game), and other could be technical problems due to the newity of the system's release.
