Background:   This is a KEM-400AAA assembly i'm working on that does not spin.  I've done many laser replacements no problem, but this one didn't work.

No big deal right?  try switching out the sled as well.  --> still nothing.  No spinning or laser movement at all.

So I thought it could be the IC BD7956FS.  I pulled one from a working board and transplanted it onto this board.  STILL nothing.  NO spinning at all.  NO laser movement at all.

does anyone have any ideas?

I'm at a loss and hate admitting defeat.

i know it probably sounds redundant but i would go back and check my connections again especially if you have done everything you said you did in your description of you're problem.

if you already have let me know and we'll trouble shoot from there
