Recurring Ylods
« on: October 14, 2009, 01:15:00 PM »

I have a PS3 here that I have been playing with for about a month or so..  It developed a YLOD problem and I fixed it following this info here:

http://forums.maxcon...ad.php?t=137655

It worked great for a week or so.  I do the "fix" above again and it, once again, it works fine for a week or so.. And so on and so on.. I think I have fixed it 4 or 5 times and I have to wonder if I am getting to a "breaking point" where it won't fix anymore.

So, I was wondering if there are any new fixes out there that might help with a recurring YLOD problem.

Thanx...

B

I assume you are refluxing before each repair attempt?

the best YLOD repair stories I have heard involve getting some flux under there, you'll want no-clean flux as, obviously, you won't be able to clean it very easily.
