Broken Ps3
« on: August 25, 2008, 12:23:00 PM »

alright, my buddy has a 40gb ps3 and its broken.  the system turns on and seems to function normally, but no picture appears on the tv.  we think its the av output on the system thats brokenseeing how its turns on fine with no problems.  therefore is there any way to test to see if this is the problem, its not the cord because we tried that one another ps3 and it worked fine.

thanks

Reset the PS3.
Try removing the HDD and re-inserting it.

You using SD Cables?? What make is your TV I seem to recall some time ago that PS3's had problems with some TV's with 480P/1080i only. Try using an SD cable instead of HD..Google the problem I think this might be it.
