'Sensational' MGS4 Lifts Konami Q1 - 3M Copies Sold

Thanks to a strong software lineup led by Metal Gear Solid 4, Tokyo-based Konami has posted strong sales and profit figures for the first quarter ended June 30.

MGS4, released on June 12, drove quarterly revenues of 70.8 billion yen ($654.3 million), up 16.7 percent from Q1 2007's 60.7 billion yen, the company said Tuesday.
Operating income was 11.6 billion yen for the quarter, up 65.6 percent.

The PlayStation 3-exclusive MGS4 had a worldwide simultaneous release during the quarter, shipping over 3 million units day one.
Konami called sales of the game "sensational."

Just beat MGS4 a couple days ago (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

One of the best games ive ever played... and ive never played a single MGS game either, nor am I fan of some of the same games in its genre (Splinter Cell)

So kudos to them, I hope this title goes down in history as oen of the best games

another reason this wont be coming to 360 now, they don't need no more sales now its selling like hot cakes on ps3 well done konami for making an awsome game i loved it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/love.gif)

I'm stuck on the resistance part in London on Act 3 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) i try not to get detected but they keep spotting me if i stay to far back I lose them. This game is so hard lol (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
