This are my settings:

Ponyprog 1.17h

device 2402-16     2402

Options Setup:

SI Prog API

invert reset selected.

Options Setup Probe gives OK

You should run an options -> calibration.

Then you can read the device.

regards.

no dice with your setup either its always the same error   "Hardware error, is the interface properly connected? (-14)"   But the test probe comes back ok.I just dont know what to think Ive checked my wires and the diagram 1000 times the last 2 days and I cant get it to work.Ive installed every different version I can find and tried running the reader on 3 computers

Have you tried the HDD in another console to see if it boots there?

Have you tried a different HDD with the faulty console? The fact that the 5035 flubbers at all makes me think either the EEPROM is fine, or it really doesn't care - You should be able to deal with the EEPROM via ConfigMagic if you can just get a dash to load...

If neither of those things shines any light on the matter, try this. You build an EEPROM into a special BIOS that automatically programs your actual EEPROM chip accordingly. Since your HDD is unlocked, it doesn't *really* matter which EEPROM you use: Any Live banned one should do for the purpose of making the system boot again.

First off that other reader Idots suggested seemed a little rough for me on the pc end of things even thou there is not much I cant do on an xbox I am terrible on a PC.Bloke I know its not a hdd issue I have tried more than a couple. The flash bios I have tried didnt give me an eeprom option but I did see the unauthorized version but it says nothing about eeprom in the usual places I will go back and get it and try it.

Ok I got it but I dont see how to use it.I have looked threw the folder it looks more like an app than a bios. But in the directory that it was located in the usual places there was a file titled "image.bin" and it was 256 in size is this the flash file?

I can't say for certain that you've got the right one, but if you do there should be some obvious extra options at the bottom of the menu. Make sure you scroll down.

The error 13 happens with any hdd also it would not launch from disk I have tried several.Im going to have to think alittle more on it every error13 i have had in the past would allow for you to boot from disk.

Isn't error 13 a ms dash error? Turn on chip , load slayer's and rebuild C with retail dash should fix it. With chip off, any homebrew dvd disc isn't supposed to work. Unless you also try original game disc and it didn't work also?
