Xbox Won't Turn Off!

Ok, my Xbox WILL NOT TURN OFF!!
I have taken it apart and checked the switches, and they're fine. Which makes me think it may be a BIOS problem or something. It only turns off when I unplug it (bad for linux mod) and when I plug it in it automatically turns on. What can I do?

In my case the "quick fix" was to clean the motherboard with metho.
