PS3 accounts for almost 90pct of XDR memory shipments
« on: June 18, 2007, 07:28:00 PM »

SO it sounds like the first Ps3's didn't use the samr Ram as the new ones today.
hmmmmm.

Could this be a problem the ps3 had when it first came out?

Very possible.

Also,   I want to hear about what is really going on with the ps3 and what sony will spend millions on. They need games, not later, but now.

As far as I know the PS3 didn't have any hardware problems when it launched other than the controllers resyncing.

The PS3 XDR is 4 x 64MegaBytes (512Megabits) = 256MB of system RAM.
8 bits = 1 byte
4 * 512 / 8 = 256

It is faster than the 360s RAM enabling the CPU to run more efficiently.
