I recently got my new ps3 a 20gb model That I had to drive 200 miles round trip to get. I just wanted to say that its an excellent system and I was lucky enough that it had talladega nights even though it sucks. The store has had the system since december Im guessing since it was out in the middle of no were. Graphics are great especially resistance and motorstorm wich I imported. As the owner of all three next gen platforms I would like to tell the fanboys to stfu. The bc works flawlessly on my tv no jaggies Ive tested mgs3 and unjammer lammy both looked as I rememberd them. I was relieved to find out my tv supports 720p even though its 1080i native. Just wanted to give everyone an unbiased opion from a hardcore gamer.



Also I traded in my ps2 and my games I didnt keep like guitar hero and the system only came to 330 wich is a great price for a blue ray player I just wish they would put some sweet horror movies out now like hellraiser.

Thank you.  I agree, I have a PS3 and a 360, and I love both.  I am sick and tired of Xbox fanboys bashing a system they don't own or have never played.

great news, happy you enjoy your system.  

also i believe that the BC looks good on your system now because you got it after the latest update fixed the BC issues.

i agree that some shouldnt speak, but a lot of the complaints have been for good reason.  

of course as a 360 and ps3 owner im sure you know what those reasons may be.

I have had my PS3 since launch and I am disapointed with the system. If your TV didn't support 720P you would be singing a different tune. Also KAGE is right about the backwords compatability, a week or two ago PS2 games were dam near unplayable. Also online has let me down there is just nothing there and the way it is setup sucks.

I had a very good time playing resistance but other than that there hasn't really been shit out, exept for the japanese version of tekken and that is good. I also put Linux on my PS3 and that runs like crap to.

I am hating right know but have hope for the future, when some good games come out and sony gets there online shit together. You can sling the word fanboy around all you want but i give credit where credit is due and the PS3 at the moment deserves none. You must like playing the same game over and over because that is all you can do with the PS3 at the moment.

The 360 has better games so it is a better machine right now. Sure blue-ray is nice but almost all the movies don't look that great. In my opinion HD-DVD looks better.

I also primarily got the PS3 to play games on and right now it doesn't really cut the mustard. I am glad you like your PS3 but i can't understand why given it's present state.

Which should keep me busy until Bio-Shock and the rest of the 2007 line up hits.

Thats not including the upcoming PSN arcade games or some of the other great ps2 games that will be released this year.

deadpool66 glad you like the PS3. I'm waiting for better games to come out before I get one and to see how the Blu-Ray situation is within 6-12 months.

I don't want to spend £425 on a console to find out the format might be dead in 5 years. I know Blu-Ray is outselling HD-DVD at the moment but that is because of forced marketing. I hear video stores are purposely showing more blu-ray films and hiding HD-DVD films to make more of an impact, Sony is probably giving the stores money to do that lol.

But The_Hushed_Casket your statement could be a bit of an understatement, because the PS3 hasn't been released in PAL regions yet. I'm not saying I bash the PS3, but how can I try a PS3 if there is not even any Kiosks in my town yet in England.

thats fine and all but were talking about next gen games only.  if we count BC games then all the systems have a much better catalog of games then once thought.  so with that in mind you actually only have 2 titles keeping your system busy right now.

I didnt want to start any shit between users I just wanted to say that its a fine console, The 360 is also fine peice of hardware if anything my wii disapoints the most why did they have to delay metroid ;-(. As for online with resistance the game is virtually lag free with 32 people unlike most 360 games wich lag with only 12 damn you saints row, This might be from lack of voice chat wich is a bandwith destroyer on xbl.


Also on another note the 360 luanched with a few good games and the really good ones didnt start till oblivion. Give the ps3 6months with lair and heavenly sword not to mention metal gear 4 in the pipeline and god of war 2 will display in 720p on the ps3, This should be a great year.

It is a good piece ofhardware exept for the lack of scaling and definately has potential, but as far as games go the 360 launch was way better. I have full auto 2 and i think it sucks and i have all the arcade games you mentioned and they are pretty weak to and there are better versions on the 360 exept for sudoku.

You are entitled to your opinion and i am glad you are happy with your purchase, but having had the system since launch it has only one good title and that is resistance.

Again, i am glad you are satisfied but as a 600 dollar gaming machine i am not, my hopes are high for the future though.

My point was there was a chioce between several different types of games, some good some bad but there was more than one title available. With the PS3 there is nothing that i can even rent to see if it blows.

Ps3 also offers choice though. Its not as if Resistance is the only game it has, the only good game perhaps, but not the only game.

As far as not talking about BC, I only listed two games that are bc and who are you to make specific rules for the games I can list that im playing just because the 360 has BC problems.

As far as im concerned, the only game ive enjoyed playing on the 360 thus far is Gears of War, but who doesnt enjoy running a chainsaw through their enemies? Alan Wake is looking damn good as well. Perhaps 2007 will surprise me, but im not purchasing the 360 untill they get to 3.0

I wont waste any typing at this wannabe phedias character other than BioShock has NOT been announced for PS3. Will it go to PS3? Probably. But as of now, it has not been called a timed excusive. As far as the public is  concerned, its headed to 360 and PC only.

The average IQ has dropped even more around here lately, I did not think that was possible. Thanks a lot
