Sony just sent out a media advisory, letting us know that another shipment of PlayStation 3 has gone out to retail and that they will be in stores "by Black Friday."

Unfortunately, that's all the updates we're going to get. Says the statement:
"With PS3 manufacturing now running smoothly and product being aired in weekly, we're focused on our goal of shipping a million units to retail by the end of the calendar year. Due to the immediate nature of these shipments, we will not be providing weekly updates on North American supplies."

a friend and i scored 1 each of the 20gb version at walmart around noon.  they literally had just pulled them off the truck.  i was paying for some dvd's when a couple associates walked up to electronics with the 2 systems.  my immediate reaction was they must be for someone else, but i asked anyways.  just about crapped my pants when they said it was first come first serve.  it took us all of about .000000009 seconds to jump on that.

i already have the 60gb version so i flipped this one up for auction.  maybe i'll get enough to cover the cost of a few games.

i worded that wrong.  i scored a 20gb and my friend got one 20gb as well.  that is all they had.  it seems strange they had any at all considering there are a lot of rainchecks out there for walmart.

I scored a 20gb version 3 days after launch.  I had to meet with someone for work in a small run down town about 30 miles from my house.  I had to take a leak really bad so I stopped in at their little beat-up Wal-Mart.  Of course, on the way to the restrooms I had to take a peak in electronics.  There it was...a lonely little 20gb version.  I about crapped my pants.  My friend waited for two days in line and got a 20gb.  Anyway, I was going to sell it on ebay, but it started to call out to me.  I couldn't resist.  Now I'm trying to raise the funds to keep it (my wife is ready to kill me).  I've walking around the house looking for crap to sell on ebay (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
