really unlikely you will see that price drop

its already several hundred less than a set top bluray dvd player at best buy or the store
of your choice for that stuff.
if you are looking for a bluray player its a bargain and on that alone it will sell out if it
had ZERO games

I agree! $1000 for blu-ray players!!

After thinking about it, I'm going to get a $600 one, apparently the PSP integration is only via Wi-Fi ad-hoc.

My brother and I are camping at BestBuy, going to get one each and flip one of them on eBay.

That sucks I thought that it PSP used the USB to connect to the PS3. mad.gif

you can connect the psp with a usb cable, or, if you have the premium 60gb model, use the memory stick pro duo from the psp in the ps3 card slot.  the point of having the premium is so you can remotely view video and photos, and listen to music wirelessly with a psp.  that is because the premium ps3 has wifi built-in.

i ended up going for the premium.  the psp connectivity clinched that decision.

i voted for neither... cause right now i think the xbox360 looks more appealing overall and i think i would rather take a wii over a ps3 since it's unique controller looks like it could be pretty fun... a major downside to the ps3 right now is it's price and lack of "good games" for it.

so for me bottom line =
1. XBox360 (one of main reasons i want xbox360 is due to "Forza Motorsport 2" )
2. Wii (this system has potential cause of the controller, but if it keeps mainly getting kiddie games it's done for)
3. PS3 (if this dont get all the exclusive games like it used to get in the past i dont see this system being dominate like it was in the past)

Just picked up a 20gb one. I'm not sure if I am going to keep it or sell it.. I bought it cause the local store had one but do not know if it's worth so much over the 360 which I have already

I just picked up a 60 gig from a local guy here in St. Louis.  I picked up Resistance which is pretty awesome, I didn't realize that it only came with composite cables, what a joke.  I've been busy playing Bully, a game I have been waiting a long time to play!

I just purchased the 20 gig at Target on Saturday, and I picked up an HDMI cable, and Call of duty 3

I'm not sure where the word was that the 20 gig doesnt have HDMI because it does. I just downloaded the GT HD Concept Demo, and it's beautiful.

Also I have a Wii and just logged 4 hours into Zelda, i'm in next gen console heaven

Bought the 20g version myself. After messing w the system for about a week, it ain't better than the 360 at all.
The online features of the ps3 sucks!! The whole online interface sucks and it just not the same as the 360.

And whata fck is this crap that u have to install when u insert a game on the ps3?
Inserted resistance and had to do an installation ala pc? whata fck is this a crappy pc??
Sucks cause it takes hdd space. 360 games just create a game save and loads quick.
Blu ray player and features suck too!! With my xbox 360 hddvd player i can access the menu and the movie is still playing. That's cool. And the menu I think is faster. Bluray player menu is like a regular dvd and movie stops when accessing the menu.

And one more thing.. Why can't the ps3 auto detect an hdmi cable. I thought my ps3 hdmi connector was broken cause I wasn't getting a picture when I bought the cable. I had to hold reset for 5 sec in order to get the hdmi picture working. SUCKS!!

If it wasn't because of some games I wanna play on the ps3 I would return this crap and get my money back.
Lucky for me I bought the 20g version.

I just snagged a 20 GB version off of eBay (w00t!), for just $550 shipped (a measly $12 more than I would have had to pay with tax at a retail store).  I went for the 20 GB because 1.  I can upgrade the HDD if I need to.  2.  Who the hell uses Flash cards?  3.  While I do have Wi-Fi, it is slower, and I already have an ethernet cable routed back there for my 360.

Got the 60gb version and Resistance last week. Took about half hour of resistance before I ran back to Gears of War. Need some avi/divx playback on this thing (without having to install linux). Divx in an mp4 container? C'mon sony! Bring some avi goodness and streaming to this piece (YOU TOO MICROSOFT). Shame Xbox1/XBMC combination is crappin all over the 360/PS3 media playback.
