All I can say is for a next gen HD player + game console for $659 CDN is worth it!
I'm not a Sony fanboy as I have both the xbox and xbox360 (albeit I didn't buy it, I won one =) )..

I'm pretty happy about the pricing and what it in-cludes...hopefully I can win one too..hahah..

Game on!

I'm in awe.
$600?  Come on!  $500 at the most, please!  The blue ray player better be unfucking believable or else I'm not getting it until Metal Gear solid 4 comes out.  Well, hopefully if I can find one.
What is with the lower end model not supporting wifi or hdmi?  I love the idea of downloading old playstation games to your psp.

$600 for the Playstation that Sony promised is rediculous.  Well, kinda promised since it doesn't have dual HDMI and all the USB ports that it was supposed to have.  And only the $600 version has HDMI, wifi and memory stick.  And no rumble?  WTF?  Overpromissed, under-delivered.  Not to mention that the premium 360 will probably be $299 on November 17, $300 cheaper than the premium PS3.  With current exchange rates, European PS3s will be 20% more expensive than in the US!  Also HD DVD add on will be no more that $199.  Maybe even $99.  I was so excited after the pre-E3 conference, because now I know without a doubt that FONY's days are truly numbered.

Dual HDMI and those extra USB ports were shown on a PS3 concept , IIRC. So not like they actually promised to have dual HDMI. And last time I played a game with rumble it was more for gimmick than anything else. Having the controller vibrate constantly until my game character dies is not really good for my arms anyway. Besides M$ hasn't even confirmed they'll drop it to 299 in November. They didn't confirm the HD DVD price either. What's there to be so excited about anyway.

And yay for M$ beating Sony. I can't wait for the day when MS take over our cars and our cars fail thanks to their OS controlling the ECU and everything else. Can a fanboy tell I'm being sarcastic rolleyes.gif

From this point on, I'm refering to the PS3's new controller as the "broken vibrator".
Seeing that Sony was unable to provide vibrating function to the dual penetrating boomerang controller of last year's E3, they were forced to take a step backwards with a redesigned controller.

Of coarse, the new PS3 DualShock controller is in need of a new name since the only shocking aspect of it is the fact that it lacks shock feedback.
So broken vibrator is a fitting name since the only pleasure Sony groupies will get from it is hot tilt action!

You obviously cant afford a BMW made during the last few years then or anything else from the fair range that already run Windows Automotive.

nb - Just like to say the the entry level PS3 not having an HDMI output is a complete joke. So not only do you have to spend spend $200 more than an Xbox 360 get a free Betamax V2 player but you cant even use it to watch HD movies!

And you obviously are about as mature as a 13 year old or is a 13 yr old kid. Otherwise how can anyone be dim-witted enough to make an assumption about what car I can afford based only on that one sentence anyway? I just love how idiots on forums tend to make assumptions about someone who they don't even know.

If you actually have your facts straight you'd know that it doesn't control low-level systems of the car(yet), so yes it doesn't control the car's ECU

Have to love how immature fanboys like to resort to personal attacks when they can't present any intelligent rebuttals  rolleyes.gif

Sony said up until E3 that there would be dual hdmi......other promises they renigged on....like the network hub, what ever happened to that.....now you cant even get hdmi let alone dual without buying a "premuim" system......you say the rumble feature is a gimmick.....how about everything sony announces about a new product being a gimmick, just to get the fanboys crazy over something that gets taken away in the end......show me a concept product that went into production with 50% less features then the original public announcement

i cant wait till halloween when sony announces they cant make the Nov. 17th launch.....muahhahahahahhahha
