One thing is, I can only afford to get
ONE of the systems. And I don't want to feel bad about my purchase. Second, I hate the idea of same games being on 2 systems and you own both of those systems. Just makes a hard choice nearly everytime you buy a game.
Third, the ps3 will have about 3 games at launch, while the Xbox 360, at that time, will have up to 60, or 90 games including arcade games.
Fourth, I doubt that Blu-Ray will win over HD-DVD. When Blu-Ray appears on the market, there would be serious "skipping" problems with the reading of the disc. So a slight movement of a Blu-Ray drive would cause the laser to be off guard in reading. (One of the reasons why the Sony BD-Player is so big and heavy)
HD-DVDs on the otherhand, will be more precise when reading discs due to the larger grooves on the disc per layer. Plus, it is RED

rayed with shorter wavelenghts which means that the laser on an HD-DVD would much more easily detect Binary codes on an HD-DVD disc.
Go RED!
HD-DVD = 10^-7 micrometer wavelength
Blu-Rau = 10^-8 micrometer wavelength
Nearly TEN times the difference in wavelengths
