If Sony includes Blu-Ray in the PS3, they will win the next generation format wars by default.

No kidding.
That won't mean they win the new format war by default. ROFL.
I have degrees in business and criminal justice atm and can definately tell you the Xbox 360 and the PS3 will play one of the smallest roles in who will be the winner in the new format war.
End of discussion on that topic.
As I've said before, from knowing all the true, cold-hard facts of both formats from how the media is made and created and costs on each to the same for the hardwards aspect to the studios and the manufactureres backing each format..... HD-DVD will win I predict. Again, I'm not "God" so I could be wrong, but believe me, HD-DVD will most definately win. I'll pay everyone in this discussion who disagrees $100 via PayPal if I'm wrong. You can quote me on that and put it on record.

Right.
I suppose that your degree in business makes you somehow miss the 'critical mass' factor, huh?...
...Feel free to bookmark this page and quote me a year from now. If the PS3 is not significantly delayed, there is simply no possible way that HD-DVD could possibly win the format war, plain and simple. It's economics 101.
Just needed to bump this.
Funny. It would seem that Blu-Ray won the format war, and the PS3 was shockingly not a small role. Who ever could have seen that coming? (IMG:

I will be waiting patiently for my $100, but I won't be holding my breath...
