I just hope XBOX360 will add HDMI soon. It does not make sense not to support HDMI.

to bad i'm to poor to afford a HDTV right at the moment, but the VGA (DVI)cable that goes into the back of the computers is the next best thing

And i personally think that 60Gb is over doing it, i have downloaded every demo available to my xbox 360 and i still have room for one or two more. Everyone complained that the Xbox 1 had too big of a harddrive on it and it had 8 Gb. 60 Gb is just over doing it.

Im glad the system has such a large HD, i had the FFXI Beta plus a bunch of demos on my 360, leave you with no space, 60GB will also be needed if they have all the downloads they said they will. And the price of 60gb HD's is honestly nothing nowadays so it really doesnt matter, im sure if they wanted 100gb would be suitable.

If Sony includes Blu-Ray in the PS3, they will win the next generation format wars by default.

QUOTE(BasicAir @ Mar 16 2006, 12:52 PM) *

No kidding.

That won't mean they win the new format war by default. ROFL.

I have degrees in business and criminal justice atm and can definately tell you the Xbox 360 and the PS3 will play one of the smallest roles in who will be the winner in the new format war.

End of discussion on that topic.

As I've said before, from knowing all the true, cold-hard facts of both formats from how the media is made and created and costs on each to the same for the hardwards aspect to the studios and the manufactureres backing each format..... HD-DVD will win I predict. Again, I'm not "God" so I could be wrong, but believe me, HD-DVD will most definately win. I'll pay everyone in this discussion who disagrees $100 via PayPal if I'm wrong. You can quote me on that and put it on record.

Right.

I suppose that your degree in business makes you somehow miss the 'critical mass' factor, huh?...

...Feel free to bookmark this page and quote me a year from now. If the PS3 is not significantly delayed, there is simply no possible way that HD-DVD could possibly win the format war, plain and simple.  It's economics 101.

Just needed to bump this.

Funny.  It would seem that Blu-Ray won the format war, and the PS3 was shockingly not a small role.  Who ever could have seen that coming?  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I will be waiting patiently for my $100, but I won't be holding my breath...

This thread is 2006, dude did you really need to bump it to say that blu-ray won when it hasnt yet. You can still buy both players so in my views it isnt dead yet and is still going pretty strong.

I can't believe you went to the effort to bump this ancient thread.

Being as how BasicAir and I both said that we would refer to this thread a year later, it isn't really that surprising, is it?  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

He is not a year late. If you read the posts by basic Air it is actually relevant. In this case he is making a point relevant in here and to this thread so it is probably the one occasion when adding to a year old thread does have a point.
The silence from BasicAir is deafening
