I'm not realy suprised either that its delayed but, as other people stated, this will allow them to not have a supply problem. So, you could walk in around Xmas and pick up a consol no prob. ALso, this allows time for more games to be developed. Its defenatly not gonna come out in 07, most likely like they said, Nov/Dec. I believe I saw a while back that Sony was going to release the PS3 at the same time it is in Japan, but it won't be a global launch.
Sony, a few months ago, paraphrasing because I'm lazy:
"It is impossible to have a worldwide launch. You simply cannot build enough supply and deliver it in time. A worldwide launch will fail."
Of course, they were talking about the 360 at that time, so the truth value of this statement may be questionable at best.
