Just this week, ebgames.com removed all news information regarding the PS3, its specs, and possible games. I called an EBgames customer service rep and was asked to be put through to someone handling web services. This man said it was removed because the ebgames corporation had received notification that the PS3 won't be shipping to the U.S. for another year or more. This same guy also said that the revolution is more likely to come out even before the PS3. Strike another one for the 360. People will keep buying them, and there is no reason not to. Constant revisions are being done to solve problems and by the time PS3 comes out, MS will be far ahead and sony will have to find out how to reduce their $800 sticker price of the console if they want people to buy the thing when (or if) it ever comes out.

Yeah but, this is Sonys third system and M$ Second, i think sony should be happy for what they have done for, and also, i rather wait for a system thats gunna be good and perfect not to be rushed, and imo, Sonys already ahead of M$ for consoles by a longshot~

xbox 360 costs 715 us to make... thats why the production is so slow, the more SONY delays the more MS slows production and long run saves on components... ever thought of it this way ?

PS3 isn't going to cost 800 us it will be 399.99 US and it will come out before christmas.... if it doesn't I will buy you a PS3 ..

1. I think you're going to be waiting for a bit...

2. I doubt I could name 5 companies that were ahead of their competitors, but got complacent and ended up losing big time. There have been hundreds in the history of capitalism, but they have been quickly forgotten. This goes a bit extreme, but as long as Sony is willing to rely solely on the power of its name to sell its consoles to the same customers it snubs the next day, MS will ease ahead, slowly and surely, and Sony will be forgotten as well.

Their lead in the business becomes meaningless when they refuse to showcase a working product, when they continually lie (yes, lie!) to their customers about the launch dates, when they tell the majority of their target market that the machine isn't for them, and when they continually denigrate the competition.

alright man, xmas 2006...i'll bookmark this forum and keep an eye out. Most reputable sites have listed a 2007 launch for JAPAN...U.S. would more than likely be later...but we'll see..when I was referring to release, I meant U.S. release, not japan, noone wants to play on a japanese formatted console...

the poster is right, a buddy of mine went on a job interview for a ebgames manager position, and they told him they were informed that the system probably won't hit till end of year, probably in japan, so spring for us.

There is no way MS would slow their production!?! What are you thinking? You dont slow down your production when you are trying to dominate the gaming world. The more they sell, the more games they sell, the more money they make!
