Not Good News For Sony
« on: February 21, 2006, 02:25:00 PM »

not good news for sony, as i was looking at cnbc news today they where talking about a sony playstation 3 delay well sony would not say how long the delay will be. cnbc news said from the info they have its going to be a 1 year delay maybe longer and that xbox 360 will have a big Advantage over sony this time around and whats even more bad news for sony is that they will have there market share hit by both sides m$ and nintendo as nintendo is on target to meet its release date.

no, have all the little screaming kids wait for the ps3!!!

only smart people should get the 360(knowing the world today thats like 500 people)
then the price drop will happen and i will buy me a core system just to mod(by that time there will be a chip)

i got a plan 4 every thing

Hello NBC is a parter of MS, as in MSNBC. Dont believe everything they speculate (or dont believe everything anybody speculates since its not fact but speculation).

That partnership was dissolved months ago. MSNBC is now solely owned by NBC Universal i.e. General Electric. MS is only partners for the msnbc website for the time being.

Sony will not delay that long they are probably going to make a big announcement at E3. But I do expect featured to be dropping off for an earlier release. Sony is not that stupid to lose so much time to MS

this isn't exclusive cnet/nbc news though, this is on reuters also

http://today.reuters...&archived=False

someone at my work said he heard a rumor that ps3 games could also cost as much as $70 (US) per game. people where willing to deal with the 360 games being 60 each, but i don't think 70 is really an option

If the delay is really true, then MS can get back from from their holiday faltering and get some machines out to people!!

I hope Sony dies, I really do.
Then I pray for the well being of their employees biggrin.gif

If Sony were to die, I pray for there to be a way that God of War 2 would show up on 360...probably one of the few reasons that I would even consider getting a PS3 at this point....if the PS3 costs more than 360 w/o an HDD, then I'll play the wait game till the price drops, and I'll continue enjoying my 360 and possibly Revolution...I don't think Sony will die in the VG biz, but you never know....sega was pretty big in the mid 90s and cocky leadership in japan screwed them...Ken, is that you? tongue.gif

I also read on ps3scene, along with the abolishment of 1080i, the overall size of the console just got bigger aswell. more broken promises form sony.

Actually, that'd really suck, cause then there'd be no competition against Miicrosoft and we'd get some shitt-ass games.

Sony's shares drops after news of the $900 cost for PS3. $900 is a bit much for a game system.

There is zero, ZERO, presence of the PS3 in the fan mags, trade mags, mass media or retail stores here.. at all.

If Sony was even planning a lat spring launch, I would presume the entire country would be ablaze (if the first two console launches are any indication) to the extent that you couldn't escape the PR machine.

NO SPRING LAUNCH.  That's what I see, and say, and I'm talking about Sony's home turf.  All we see is Larry Probst, CEO of EA saying in a recent (Feb. 03) interview that he expects a likely fall release, to which Sony dishes out the "our stance is unchanged" press release.

So why, then, doesn't Famitsu have a 12 inch woody-style PS3 rumbling going on in their pages? They sure as hell aren't planning some "suprise attack" that the whole industry is out of the loop on.  Not in this age of IT.

And I'm not even counting in what happened to the last company that tried that tactic (you know, back when you could get away with it without the public knowing, re: pre-internet)... Remember what happened?  It kicked off the downfall of a great company.. that now just makes (generally) awesome games.
