During our chat with Sony's head of game development, Phil Harrison, earlier today, EGM's Dan Hsu asked about whether Sony had any plans to combat the exclusive downloadable content headed to the Xbox 360. Here's what Harrison said:

"As the head of the [internal Sony] studios, it's hard for me to comment on the third-party relations, so I don't know the details of that -- we deliberately keep those separate -- but we have a great relationship with Rockstar and we're actually working closely with them on a number of initiatives, so I do know some things that are going on, but I'm not able to share those with you now."

In other words, they don't have jack shit to compete against the 360's exclusive content and they just don't want to admit it.

I agree that this is bs, but honestly I don't really care about the 360's exclusive GTA content. Every time I play a GTA game I don't even do everything I just do the main story and I also like to see how long I can survive with a 6 star wanted level. I guess I'd want the content if it was something major like an extra city, but I doubt it will be that great. Then again, MS did pay like $150,000,000 for it. Until I see what the content actually is I'm sticking with the PS3 version.

achievements and a comfortable controller seals the deal for me, and they come as standard on 360 smile.gif

Yea, I almost think Sony should redesign their damn controller. I mean, everyone else's controllers have evolved into something comfortable and super functional. Their controllers are still SNES controllers with analog sticks tacked on.

Hopefully Rockstar will be smart about it and at least mirror the Achievements onto the PS3 version as Accomplishments or whatever. Although that system wouldn't appeal to those who like to show off.

They did redesign it -- the boomerang. I'm a bit disappointed that I never got to hold it as those who actually held it said it was comfortable. There's no way they actually listened to the people's backlash about it.  sleep.gif

As far as my comfort, it didn't bother me 10 years ago and it doesn't bother me now. It's just that you expect more of an evolution over that time. But how it can be described as an SNES controller is baffling to me.
