Should I Update My Ps3's Firmware?

Is it wise to update the firmware on my ps3? I dont want to update it if it contains any security updates. Also could any point me to a guide on how to backup my games to the ps3 harddrive?

You can't run backups on the PS3 and probably wont be able for a year or so. Go ahead and update the PS3.

You CAN however, back them up. From the PS3scene archives. Link


Decide for yourself if you want to update. I doubt they've snuck in any security fixes. But anyways:
