I dont get it , what did they do wrong in the first place?

Im pissed off like everyone else, I got all my gp2x stuff from that place. I just dont know where to place my anger yet.
They didn't do anything wrong really...
The un official assumed Reason Sony sued them: Lik-Sang was selling Japanese PSPs to the european market, Japanese PSPs are cheaper to import then to buy locally, even if the practice is PERFECTLY LEGAL Sony didn't appreciate the fact that it undermined their inflated European pricing, or the fact that they provided not only better prices but earlier demaned making Sony look bad because a small company could deliver Sony products better and faster then Sony themselves. NO WHERE has Sony actually come out and said that this is the case, this is simply the assumed reason behind it.
The official documented reason for the lawsuit: Trademark Infringment, Sony basically claimed that since Lik-Sang was selling PSPs before the product was officially released in Europe they were infringing on Sony's PSP trademark making European consumers believe that the PSP was actually a Lik-Sang Product.

I challange you to find a single person in all of europe who actually believe the PSP is make by Lik-Sang.
The offiical reason Sony has reported to the press: Japanese spec PSPs didn't meet European safty and power certifications and they (Sony) were just looking out for the European consumers... this is an outright LIE considering that it has NOTHING to do with the lawsuits.
Also considering the fact that the PSP was actually certified in europe. the included power adapters were not only configurably for both 120V and 240V but they also carried the "CE" logo which means they're Certified for use in Europe. Most companies make one set of hardware and certify it everywhere before they sell it anywhere even if there are small tweaks between regions. Those of you who live in the US can check your Xbox, PS2 or even your PSP if you got one and I guarantee it carries the CE logo on both the unit and the power adapter.
Anyone who claims "Lik-Sang got what they deserved" has no idea what this lawsuit was really about.
Not to mention Lik-Sang was one of the largest manufacturers of Controller adapters... good luck finding adapters to use your PS2 controller on your PC or your Xbox, or your Gamecube, or any future consoles.
The last manufacturer was going out of business a couple of years ago and Lik-Sang bought them out and kept them running to keep the market alive... not that Lik-Sang is gone, so are all the adapters. They were also one of the largest manufacturers of Cable extenders and 3rd party AV cables. (They were the ones who made the Smart Joy Frag... you can kiss any hopes and dreams of a Keyboard and mouse adapter for the 360 or PS3 goodbye).
Lik-Sang was more then just a simple importer Sony just annihilated a substantial portion of the 3rd party market.
