not being able to play downloaded ps1 games is no biggy because i honestly think just having the ability to DL BC games is cool. but im surprised (not really) that they wont allow you to enhance the BC games on the almighty ps3.

whoever says they dont see a difference between BC games on the 360 and xbox games is a blind fool.

wow, a while ago sony said that bc games would be upscaled. And now it can't, typical

If this turns out to be true, and it looks like it is going to be true it is a major let down for me.  It kind of makes backward compatability on the ps3 a lot less appealing, if it is the same you can just play it on your ps2.

I'm not sure how the upscaling works but wouldn't it destroy the original graphics. Its like playing snes with HQ2x some love it others hate it. while I'm on the xbox360 and old games upconverting, alot of the old games are already in 720p is there any difference on those ones or are they just displayed like they should?

Serious question: What consoles do you have or have you had in the last 10 years? Let me guess, no Saturn, No Dreamcast, No Xbox and obviously not a 360.

Yea sorry apparently there is only 30ish, did a hdtv search on xbox.com said 300 though seems they have another definition then the norm.

Please find me a list that shows 30 games that *actually" play in 720p/1080i

Some are labeled as such but do NOT output in HD.

The only ones I can think of are The Matrix, Dragons Lair, Syberia, Amped 2, and some MX game(forgot the name). Thats 5, I cant imagine there being much more than that.

I think a basketball game did and maybe Soul Calibur II? Some cases had 480p blacked out but they played in 480p, if people are making lists going by the back of cases, they are clueless

There are actually about 30 something 720p games.. before getting my 360 I was obsessed with finding these games no matter how bad they were... just for the HD resolution.

Well that explains why I knew only of 6 or 7, those are all titles I stay far far away from. The Urbz?   No offense to your colleciton ofcourse  

Syberia was 720p and 1080i, The Matrix pile was 1080i as well and all that did was make a game that was already VERY ugly, look even worse at a higher res. Amped 2 is the only game out of all those that looked decent in 480p, and even better in 720p.
