in actual fact the controller does NOT have 6 axes... from the information the controller provides a programmer is able to extrapolate 6 axes.

motion along an axis is motion along an axis it doesn't matter if it's a linear motion or an acceleration.

6 axies implies movement along the X Y and Z axies as well as rotation about the X Y an Z axies.

Anyone who has taken a basic statics course in highschool or college or a college level physics course should be able to tell you that.

Maybe I take this for granted being an engineer.

nah, i dont want tony hawk. At all, regardless of which platform. I have better things to buy within the next couple months

It looks a little buggy still with the sixaxis, but the innovation looks good. I like it when he said that you could play with only one hand. But still, tony hawk isn't my kind of game. No offense to m_hael.

I think the last TH I played was on the Dreamcast. But, I am saying 360 guys want that capability. Only next-gen system with old gen control system. At least we have vibrate though.

He did as much work on Tony Hawk as he did on Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure.

If that game had 6 axis. WOW!!! Look out. Kids would love that.

I think i just heard nintendo peek their heads into the forum.

But anyway, I wanna just say that i got my hands on the Tony Hawk Project 8 demo on the 360 marketplace. Its actually pretty fun and innovative with the "Nail the Trick" feature. I still couldn't imagine buying it, but its a pretty fun demo to say the least.
