Call Of Duty 3 Highdef Images

Some Call of Duty 3 screenshots were posted yesterday. I'm not sure if they are brand new or just new to the site. But heres the game.

Call of Duty 3 for PS3

ALSO! If you want a comparison on how this game looks compared to the SAME game on the Xbox 360 click the link for the comparison

Call of Duty 3 for Xbox 360

And just for fun, here are some screenshots of the game for the Wii

Call of Duty 3 for Wii

Obviously the Wii graphics don't compare with the other two. But i thought the Xbox 360 had better textures and shiny helmets etc. than the PS3 version does. I wonder if this is my baised eye telling me that the 360 is better, but oh well.

Maybe the 360 is more powerful than the PS3 in the terms of gameplay, or maybe the 360 has better architechture and therefore is easier to develop and bring out the power from with in.

Edit: I just watched a multiplayer vid of this game, it looks intense. Alot of new features were added, such as vehicles and being able to THROW GRENADES BACK. finally

Its not just you. Posted on Oct 6th...

Controversy strikes! Yes, the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii versions of the game are graphically different. Looking across the field of battle through the field glasses on the 360 looked crisp and sharp. Running through a forest full of hidden Germans looked photorealistic, even with falling leaves that you could zoom in on and see every close-up detail. Running through burned out buildings on the Wii looked ... GameCubish. We pressed the Treyarch to tell us which version they favored, but they resisted our interrogation. Something was amiss, and headquarters didn't want us to know about it. Loose lips sink ships and all that.

Once more into the breach, we played each the game on each individual system. The missions and campaign are identical on each system, as are the controls. The PS3 has tossed in an "Oh crap! The Wii might steamroll us! Invent something!" motion senstive melee attack. Twist the controller left or right, and pop your enemy in the face with a rifle butt. The PS3 version was playing off of the massive black development kits, and not the newly arrived, shiny test units. An inside wag told us they had only just received them, and they couldn't get the game working on them yet. Jeepers. Our presence in the PS3 room was monitored a bit too closely for our comfort. We were rounded up in short order and taken into the Xbox 360 room, since multiplayer wasn't working on the PS3 yet, although the single player version did look attractive.

The game is out for ps3 in a month or so, they better get their asses in gear or delay it altogether.

what could you say on the matter thats under NDA that deals with the graphical differences of another developers game? Or are you thinking along the lines of architectural differences?

... its not another developer per se... we're owned by the same publisher and we all talk to each other regularly requesting advice and considering solution to various issues across "companies".

sometimes i much rather be under NDA and know the facts then to be a gamer and only have the ability to speculate.

maybe we can just ask you questions and you give a  wink.gif  for every yes

 tongue.gif

back to the topic, originally i thought that the ps3 and 360 version would look the same.  EGM  rolleyes.gif  even commented that in the final results that the ps3 version would have better lighting then the 360 version.  however from the report on joystiq.com that deftech posted and the comments in the other thread, this does not seem to be the case.  i cant wait to see the two side by side, but i was always curious to how the ps3 and 360 versions look different like joystiq mentioned but never specified why.  all they did was comment about how good the 360 version looked.

Gee, might the graphical difference have something to do with the fact that the 360 is housing a more powerful graphics processor, and that the utilization of the memory architecture is better in the 360.
Or maybe that Sony decided to go with a real GPU instead of the Cell at the last second.
Here's another; games are being ported from the 360 to the PS3, can you guess why, oh you got it, more GPU/memory power/room, muha ha ha ha ha.
Could be all those above, couldnt it.
