the list for 360 is very misleading as you only list exclusives... a LOT of the ps3 release titles are xplat and thus on 360 too.

It's hard to see sarcasm when it's only written words. Does Metroid really have a release date? it didin't when I last checked the wii page, can't frickin wait till 8 december... And the most intresting game will be oblivion since it will be so easy to compare the two hd consoles with it.

My guess this will be the numbers of consoles sold before jan 2007

Incredible exclusives?? You got confused and put Ridge Racer 7 on that list.

I think that the 360 titles are particularly good for this holiday (Gears of War will still be #1 in my opinion though)

And what happend to BLue Dragon? I thought it would be out in time for the holidays

It will be an unfair comparison, none the less.  But i'm sure it will be a bragging point for the uneducated sony lovers.  Bethesda have had almost another year to polish the game, and add better texture resolution in the distance, that of which was done by a user mod for the pc that requires little to no drop in frame-rate.  I just wish Bethesda would provide the mod over xbl for the 360.  And if they will not do it i can only hope the 360 will get modded asap, so i can do it myself.

I would guess that the mod in question requires more resources than the 360 and thus its not been implemented for 360.

No, i highly doubt it.  The distant land textures where increased by a user mod for the pc (no more bland, 'pea-soup' looking distant land textures).  I've seen it and it takes less then 1 fps hit on a x800 graphics card.  The 360 would have no problem with it if Bethesda would allow a user mod patch for the 360.

pc's have more memory, Oblivion streams, in order to fit those textures in memory something would have to drop out.

so someone doing a "mod" to put them back in on pc and it doesn't make much of a difference doesn't mean it wouldn't simply break the 360 version.

I'm sure you are correct.  But with morrowind for the xbox i added a bunch of pc mods and it didn't effect the frame rate much at all.  So i guess i'll find out whenever the 360 does get truly modded.

Though the situation smells an aweful lot like the Assassin's Creed senario. My guess is these companies are in talks with Sony for some extra cash for making it exclusive, and based on the results of those talks are making the call for the game to be xplat or exclusive. Chances are they're co-developing reguardless.

Blue Dragon is released in Japan December 7th, it wont hit the states until next year while they translate it.

He is actually correct. Word is that Nintendo at the end of September had over 2 million consoles already manufactured and waiting for launch day. Apparently they're ahead of their manufacturing targets and currently plan to have 7 to 9 million units available by the end of the year. Well ahead of their original 6 million target.

Sony is only estimating 2 to 2.5 million world wide. I'm sure Sony will sell however many they produce but the question with them is if they can even produce 2 to 2.5 million.

Nintendo might be making more consoles but they're also going to have a wider launch, with the quantities they're producing they could easily supply regions like Australia and the Asian-Pacific in addition to the US, Japan and Europe.

I think 7-9 in just the US and Japan would saturate the market but if they spread it out enough I believe Nintendo could sell out as well.
