Or more likely, they're betting on the fact that when two systems are of roughly equal power, devs won't want to put as much effort into the conversion. 2:1 says it will fit on a 360 DVD, with absolutely no problems, and probably load faster, with little visual difference. Assuming the port gets a fair treatment, which it probably won't.

BTW: Did he just imply that Resistance is getting ported to 360? Or is he just talking about the wave of PS3 exclusives that are being ported?

Also: Notice how they're down to hoping ports will show the lack of power in the 360, since 360's games look just as good as (if not better than) PS3's.

If you're trying to evaluate PS3 as worthwhile purchase at this point listen to only what the developers are saying, not the Pr(opaganda)esidents of the company... all they do is vomit out nonsense.

Imagine if Sony had put the extra money that the blu-ray cost into RAM, or a second GPU or something; that would make for a huge visual difference between the consoles. This means the blu-ray wasn't the optimal choice for increasing game visual quality, so there must have been other considerations at play here.

The only consideration they had was making blu ray the default drive or not, knowing it will sell at a faster pace then stand alone bluray players. Its the only way they can battle HD DVD, hence the easy decision on sonys part. They had no choice.

More like 360 game developers have an easier path to port there games to the PS3 using sloppy compression techniques, I still don't believe this, I'm sure most of it is hi-def cut-scenes at 1080p.

from what i've heard the only thing that holds the 360 back from being absolutely identical with the PS3 is the 1080p videos that simply wont fit on a standard DVD9

You can find me posting over at CZ Forums and Falfiles, well I haven't in a while as shooting has taken a back seat to other interest.  I also moved out to bumble fuck and the range is easily a 40 minute drive.  I don't post on arfcom, but do look at the NFA projects forum every once in a while.

I own a Jericho 941, CZ Clone, and most of the parts to a FAL, but the import ban on receivers caused prices to sky rocket on the Imbels and Dan Coonan receivers have been MIA leaving only DSA.  I'll finish it eventually, oh and of course 7.62x51 is climbing in price as well.  So by the time I do finish it it'll cost and arm and a leg or I can use shitty Indian ammo.

My main reason for posting the link was I assumed from the other poster's comment you were a shooter and thought you might find it to be an interesting read.

Was the PS2 broken at the time?
