Hi I installed a 500Gb harddrive into a chiped xbox. Its an xbox version 1.4 and the chip is running a customised M8plus bios. In EVtool 1.0.9 I chose the option 'Partition 6 Takes rest of the Drive' and then used XBpartitioner on the harddrive. The dash is UnleashX and I dont have a G drive just a big F Drive. I filled the harddrive up till it had about 239Gb free and everything seemed fine...then the other day I go to put more stuff on and no good. I cant move or copy from within the dash.
I read that once you go over 250Gb the xbox starts doing this. Now I'm wondering, if I made a G drive (so that both F and G are not bigger than 250Gb) would I be able to avoid this problem? Should I use UnleashX to make the G partition? Should I format F before making G?
I'm also worried about what option to choose in EVtool. The hardrive options are:
1) Use Standard Partition Table
2) Partition 6 Takes Rest of the Drive
3) Partition 6 Takes up to 137Gb / Partition 7 Takes Rest
4) Partition 6 Takes up to 137Gb / No Partition 7
I would go with #3 except that makes G drive to big. I did read around first, most people recommend XBpartitioner but like I said I tried using it, I not sure if I used it properly or not. Please help anyone!
