an achievement is something you strive to achieve
an entitlement is something your entitled to have
soum
Im kinda lost on reasoning for their naming of this
Dont they have a weird name for their copied live service too?

They could have just called them progress points or something entitlements sounds like someone just died and your getting their shit.

that definately gave me a good laugh, entitlement definately sounds funny, as far as name for their live clone, maybe they'll keep the "ps2 online" name since they aren't good at original ideas

The ONLY product Sony has ever given a great name to is the Walkman. I remember when I first heard PlayStation. I was like are they only going to have educational kiddie games? It sounds like a play area at a McDonald's. I don't think entitlement is going to go mainstream the way they got lucky with PlayStation.

Sony: "Did not!"
Mom: "Then what's that?"
Sony: "They're my Entitlements..."

Sony: "Mooommmm... I've always had these."
Mom: "...Sony Entertainment! Don't you lie to me!"

Give it... less than one week I say, and Sony will claim MS stole this from them, too.

You wanna hear about lame, how about the fact that they ported the PSP dashboard to the PS3, how lame os that they couldnt even come up with a new design idea for a dashboard. Oh Sony is struggling badly.....

They are not a software company. They have ALWAYS been lazy in that department. In fact, I just cant believe it took them this long to get make you be able to just simply drag and drop any mp4 to the psp (This was made possible last week with the 2.8 firmware!) for playback. Its ridiculous! NO pack-in software to manage videos and music! Are they serious!?
