Weak Video Signal

Hi,

I'm having a problem with my Wii where the video signal cuts out about 5 times every 10 minutes, each time lasting anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds.

I'm running a lengthy VGA cable, however I am not having any problems with the Cable Box nor Xbox 360. I have also tried putting the Wii on different inputs on the switch box, but I get the same results.

Here is my setup:

Should I buy a new Wii component cable, or is something wrong with the Wii itself?

As a side note, if I plug it into a TV instead of the projector, and use 5' cables, everything works fine.
