I found this and it says this:

There is a 50% chance that your drive chip is a GC2-D2C

There is a 50% chance that the pins on your drive chip are not cut.

What does this mean?

i would use the d2pro chip and its a 9 wire install
no need to worry about the legs being cut on a d2c2

What legs do u mean? i dont get it.

Also.. to solder on to the chip.. u need a soldering iron to solder wires or one that they use to take those chips off, the one with the flame..

on earlier wiis nintendo cut some legs off the chips to stop people soldering modchips in but thats not a issue with yours

yes you need a soldering iron and NOT one of those with a flame, these are not the easiest of things to solder in and if your not experienced don't even attempt it m8 you could end up having to buy a new drive and then having to pay to have one fitted

Ye i know, but im gonna try to find some old pc mobo or even an old xbox (1) and try to solder some wires on a chip of the same size, then check of it works first.

The problem is.. when i buy a chip its around 30-35 euro, when i let it install its 130 euro.. i think its way too much.

100 euro for a install ouch i wouldn't even charge half of that lol i charge £60 including the chip, dunno what that is in euro tho
