Really Simple Question! I Have Searched <_<
« on: March 18, 2008, 02:26:00 PM »

Hi

I would like to know this, I have looked around the net at the D2CKey installs. When i look at the install diagrame,

This http://nintendo-scen...d2ckey-logo.jpg

Then i look at peoples installs they seem different. I would just like to check with you Wii modders tongue.gif

So, Is it as simple as following the diagrame exactly as it shows the points. If i solder them points it shows and only them points it should work if it is all done correctly!

I know Throwingks would like to answear this one  biggrin.gif  ph34r.gif

Thanks

Yes, those points will work fine.

The reason they look different, is because that is a diagram of alternative points.

dude...if i were u i wouldnt get a d2ckey as they use 32 i think wires!!!!!

go get urself an argon or an infectus2(which is what i use)
they're only 13 wires and mush easier to install

if you was to wait a little longer, infectus will be releasing a 9 wire install soon

I agree that the D2cKey isn't the way to go, unless you already have the chip. Argon or Wasabi look like being the best options to me, Argon being my personal favourite.

Ah ha!! Thanks,

Now i did find that, But i hadnt noticed all the small points the the chip and so i thought it was just a picture!

You say just go for hte Argon, But its not to hard to install the D2Key, It may be alot of points to small places But i can do it, I've been practicing on an old CDdrive PCB with a chip of some sort and solding the legs of it isnt that hard!!

Anyway! Thanks for all your help!!

If you are just looking at options, check out the Wasabi also.

Hiya,

Thanks everyone,

ThrowingKs, I've had a look at the wusabi...seems interesting!!

The pins i have practiced on are say abit smaller thn 30awg wire and i have installed 10 30awg cables together with not a short, I check every time whether they were shorted and they were not!

Thanks for all of your help!
