Almost a year ago I bought a Modded Wii with a Wii Key chiop from a guy through here, who has since gone underground, so I cannot ask him this question directly. How can I find out which version of the wii key I have, and which version of the firmware it is? I just got Smash Bros, burned it to a DL DVDR, popped it in but it started to do an update and I have never updated the firmware for this and I dont want to brick the system (It is my kid's). Any help is appreciated!

AFAIK, a Wii modded with Wiikey doesn't play original US SSBB game. There may be fix in the future. I am not sure if your back-up disc will play on your Wiikey modded Wii.
