Question About Sd Cards For The Wii

will a canon SD card work?

I have one from my camera , but I wasn't sure if it wasn't working because it wasn't formatted for the wii.

how big are the wii game saves?
its only a 16 MB SD card, but I have a 512 one I could also use if 16 MB isn't worth it.
