Hey!

I have not yet tried to attempt this and would like some input from you guys before proceeding.

My PC is currently connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot thought a D-link wireless card.

I have a seperate ethernet port on my PC which connects to a router but is currently disabled.

So here is my Question, How can I set it up so that my PC connects to my D-Link router so other systems (such as my Xbox/360) can connect to the router to gain Xbox Live access/online?

So hotspot to Wireless card to PC to ethernet port to router to PC/Xbox.

Is my question clear.. :S ?

Running Windows Xp Pro SP2 on the PC.

Thanks for any input.

I *guess* you could do the same thing with the router, bridge the two connections under XP and then run a line to the router, but its certainly not ideal. You would have to setup the router right and then I'm not sure how well you could hook other computers up to this arrangement.
disable DHCP in the D-link router set it's IP to 192.168.x.100 (or anything but 192.168.x.1)
set the x the same as you used in the nic card
then enable DHCP in XP for the nic card in ICS

the D-link router is now a switch and it's WAN port is not used (you can turn off wireless if not needed)
most D-link routers will auto switch so any Ethernet cable can be used
