Hi all,

I've modded my girlfriends wii with the wiikey and had a week of problem free playing.

I then put in a ntsc backup (went through brickblocker process) and it didn't read it.

I thought maybe I need to enable the region free option using the wiikey config dvd.

This dvd didn't work either although it did previously

Now all backups PAL and otherwise have stopped working. The originals are working fine.

Does anyone know what is causing this?

Any help would be super

hi danybloke,

are sure you patched the disc properly? could you run through your brickblocker process?
your unit definately didnt ask you to ok an update did it?

you do have to enable region free with the config disc to get NTSC to work on PAL.
if you put an an NTSC disc into a PAL unit without enabling region free it will normally just say 'unable to read disc' and nothing more happens.

you could try running a more recent PAL disc (newer than the NTSC one that seemed to cause the prob) to update your system but it doesnt sound like this is your issue if it definately didnt update your system.

what version of the IC does your system have? D2A, D2B or D2C?
is your key an original? ie. did your key come with a hologram sticker and does it have gold contact points?
perhaps it would be worth going over your install to make sure everything is still ok

Hi sorry its been a while since I've veiwed this page.

I sent it off to a key installer and they have got it working. I'm waiting to see what their oppinion of the fault is.

They told prior to me sending it to them that this has happened with a few customers recently with the same symptoms.

As soon as I here from them I'll post my findings
