I'm doing a repair and it seems the resistor I circled in red has been removed.. can anyone measure its value for me? Thanks in advance!

it looks like a standard pull up/down resistors so if no-one answers you, then you can probably replace it with a 10k resistor.. or measure the one right next to it and select the same value, looks like they have the same purpose

Thanks for the reply.. I'll hopefully get some more wiis to mod today so I can measure its exact value

I think the real question is why would anyone remove it in the first place???

I'm guessing the person was trying to install the chip themselves (not apple) and they slipped with the soldering iron and knocked off that resistor and lost it seeing as how small it is.

Ok; just pulled off the other one.. it reads 46.8 on my meter's 200kohm setting.. and .047 on the 2M ohm setting.. does that mean it's a 47kohm resistor?

Ok, I replaced it with a slightly larger (and marked!) SMD resistor from an old xbox motherboard... r8e12 on a 1.0.

It was marked as 473, measured at 47kohms... and fit just right beween the extra 'test' pad below the resistor connection and the top pad

Unfortunately it didn't seem to have any effect on the install (I still can't get the damn thing to read backups :/).. but at least that's fixed

yeah, i measured it on the board and i got 5.85 on the 20k setting, for both of them...

did you put in the setup disc for the wiikey?
