searched on craigslist.com in my area until i found one reasonably priced

i was in walmart about a week after launch.  looked down and saw not only a wii but PS3 side by side (about 5 or so of each).  I was so shocked I thought for sure they were display boxes.  Obviously everyone else did too .  Needless to say I bought them both, as I was putting them in my cart, they made an announcement over the mike and they were gone instantly.  It was like watching pirannas eat a poodle.  Basically i walked ass backwards into both (actually all three since I won my xbox360)

amazon.com had them instock 20 minutes ago, 249.99 +15$ overnite shipping!!! and i got one.... who woulda though... me buying a wii... i kinda feel dirty. oh well haha

First in line at Wal-mart launch day, slept against the front door windows. Total time was 14 hr's. I only bought one that day and it was for the kids for christmas, took me 3 more months to finally get my own. I shoulda bought two that day.

It was great waiting for the wii, more fun than waiting 8hr's for the gamecube, on it's launch day.

My dad called me and my little brother downstairs, then he pulled out the Wii....It was pretty suprising because there was no special occasion (sp?).
I was told that they called wally world and there was only 3 left so they went and got one

I got to school on the thursday morning it was releassed, and immediatly walked down to the local Krap-Mart (K-Mart) and asked for a Wii... The nice lady went out back and got me one, and then informed me Wii games were on special cause of the launch, so i bought Twilight Princess and Red Steel with it.

Since noone really cares about the Wii where i live (crappy little country town) lol I was like one of the first to get one lol woot!

And at the time I was probably one of the only people in Australia to own all 3 next gen consoles (at the time i had a wii, 360, and ps3 lol)

Got mine at a Target 2 weeks after the Wii came out. I was 9th in line and only waited 50 minutes.

My wife had been buging me to get one but we could never seem to find any. One afternoon she called me and said "I'm at walmart and they have 4 wii's, can I get one?". I told her NO but you can buy all four. She bought them and we sold the other 3 for enough that we got a free wii

Damn, I just started looking and can't find one anywhere, LOL. I used to see them all the time and even called a couple of friends to tell them they were available at storeI was at (they got them).

now I can't find SHIT.

I got mine on craiglist (sacramento,ca) I paid 350 for wiiplay w/ wiimote, zelda, excite truck, and everything that comes in the box.  So i think I saved some money especially considering CA tax.

Nice find! Our parents just got one for my sisters. We had to go to three different Costco's to get it though  
Don't even bother with GameStop, Target, Wallmart, Best Buy, Circuit City, ect. We checked there too!

Walked into a target as it opened last tuesday went directly to the electronics area saw like ten of them in the case asked the guy there if those were real? he said yes and i nerviously yelled "i want one" he looked at me like i was some wierdo and sad "ok". as i was buying it 3 other people came up and asked for him to hold one for them i assume they worked there but i really dont care since i got mine. swiped my card and seriously i was as gitty as a school girl kind of running out of the store with a huge smile on my face. yay i finally have one thank god.
