Wii Mod Chip Question

I just got a Wii and am thinking of getting a modchip but want to know if it is worth waiting to see what updates might happen. do you think it is worth waiting? and is ebay a good place to buy from for modchips?

I'm sure you could always rollback ur mod installation if an update ever caused problems...no worries.
